A friend showed me a commercial today in class as we were speaking about music videos and shoots. To give a little background story to make this post only slightly interesting, I’ll unfold the series of events. My group in class for our film project was working on set and a group of us were inside a room and painting the walls. Starting with talking about RED cameras and Canon cameras, we got around to changing the topic to music and music videos. Dan Reinecke, our Director of Photography on our set, and I had worked on a music video for a band that was from a country near the Caribbean and we were talking about it and other videos. We got to talking about Lady Gaga’s music video for Bad Romance, which I think would have been great to be on set for. He then showed me the commercial that is posted below. But, before you watch the commercial, it is imperative that you know a little background of Jay-Z.
