I’ve established that it is difficult to keep a routine schedule of workout or some form of exercise. I am not sure whether to blame my school schedule, my lack of motivation, or pure laziness for the matter, but I’d like to find a solution, or motivation and get up and do something productive, athletically.
Back home I’d join in on some ultimate frisbee tossing, some tournaments for fun at Union High School, or at least find some form of exercise, be it deliberate or not. Last week while having a small “picnic” by Lake Davis, I tossed around a frisbee for the first time in quite awhile and I remembered how much I enjoyed great times. Sports are great, though I tell people I can’t stand to watch them.
Being active in some form or another is necessary, and I have been straying from that for the longest time. I always catch myself wanting to run to get fit and into shape, yet I can recall telling people it’s easier to lift weights and lose weight than to run it off, which is actually true. But, since I can’t seem to find a legitimate schedule for going to the gym, maybe I can convince myself to wake up every morning and run.
I changed my flight to leave a day earlier. I get in Tulsa on the 10th and have about 2 hours of downtime until my brother comes and gets me. We’re headed to Missouri for an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, which my main job is to attempt to get some sweet action shots. How hard could it be, right? Perhaps I’ll have to chance to play during some warmup or practicing, be a person on the field. I have a pair of cleats I bought one month before I moved down here and I have worn them only once.
Anyone know of any good frisbee leagues down in Orlando? I’ve heard Florida is booming with Ultimate teams.
