As I’ve mentioned many times and posted it throughout my website, music is such a great invention of God given to us. Music has done so much for me, especially recently, and I can’t fathom a world without. I’ve written a lot more than I usually do lately, which can be a good thing I suppose. It’s been a nice weekend where I haven’t done much of anything. I watched that Zohan movie with Adam Sandler the other night. I have mixed feelings about it, but I didn’t hate it.
I couldn’t sleep last night, go figure, so I decided to sit at my keyboard for the first time in awhile and mess around for a bit. The end result can be heard in the Music tab. It might not seem like much, but I enjoy it, so perhaps that is all that matters. Just a few simple notes, a few tracks, and some time to enjoy. To give light to some news, I’ve decided that I have a pretty strong desire to teach myself music theory. I have come across this conclusion about a week ago now and have yet to do anything. I mostly blame laziness, though it seems to be going away thankfully. I’d love to teach myself as much as I can about music, progression, chords, styles, etc.
There are a lot of things on my list of ‘To Do’ and I am turning the corner after the long walk and I am finally starting to shape up and get my act together. I only have one year left of school and the rest of my life ahead of me. Also, I am going to Sunday morning church for the first time since I’ve been in Florida. I hope I enjoy it.
