Back to the Peninsula

It wasn’t but a few hours ago that I got back in town [Orlando]. It was pretty awesome walking from plane to plane during my connecting flight and finding Daniel Wilson sitting down, scheduled to get on the same plane as I. The two of us sat next to an older gentleman who had a pretty awesome story and was very motivating.

The man, Scott, was a Surgical Technician, and has been working in that field for about twenty years. He told us a shortened version of his college to present life story, which was quite fascinating. It was motivating to hear of all the hard work he did in his life to get to where he is today. He left us saying that our generation seems to not take chances, that we don’t risk doing what we desire. He told Daniel and I, from what he overheard the two of us talking throughout the flight, that we should really follow our dreams and go ahead and take the risk.

I can’t quote exactly, but he said something along the lines of, “most people aren’t willing to sacrifice and take a hit in order for something great to come from it.” It made perfect sense. Sometimes, and it seems that usually, there is a risk that you have to be willing to take in order to get to the next level. Overall, it was a great conversation between the three of us on the way back home and it definitely gave me motivation to go out and do what I desire. I am headed full force.

School starts back up Tuesday. I’ll have graduated in less than a year and will be on my way to start my future.
Happy late 4th of July.
